Noddfa

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Overlooked by historic Harlech Castle, Noddfa has an unrivalled location and breathtaking views. A detached mansion with a history dating back 250 years, the distinctive frontage of the house was added in 1850 by Samuel Holland MP and retains much of its Victorian character, with high ornate ceilings and a splendid bell tower.

Charming tiered gardens surround the property with a rich planting of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias that typify this part of North Wales. There is ample off street parking for eight vehicles.

ABOUT THE AREA

Harlech is an attractive small town with magnificent sandy beaches and safe bathing. Often heralded as the finest beach in the country- Visit Wales have often filmed their summer campaigns on the beautiful sand dunes. The town also boasts several great restaurants and cafes, a theatre and a good range of shops.

The castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Port Merion (the location of the celebrated Prisoner TV series), the famous Ffestiniog Railway and Snowdonia National Park are all within a short drive.

Heralded as amongst the top golf courses in the UK, the short stroll from Noddfa to the legendary Royal St David’s is an asset to golf fanatics and eager beginners alike.

The bolder (and fitter) have the best of Snowdonia on the doorstep but all our guests will be awed by the breathtaking views of the mountains that can be seen from Noddfa.

Guest Comments

Beautiful house and surroundings. The golf course opposite was a coup, four of us enjoyed a round.

The beach was spectacular in the early evening, the scenery and walks are marvellous.

We will definitely be back to enjoy all the comforts again.

Thank you all

Smith family and friends

What a glorious weekend – perfect company, perfect settings!

We’ve had the best of everything; weather; food, films; laughter, big roaring fire (constantly –thank you for that!)

I didn’t move from the dining room & watched the sky and the sea all weekend, I will be back with our friends next time.

Thank you – what a great place

What a Wonderful House

Everyone having their own bathroom was a treat, and the restaurant next door did a fantastic breakfast which saved a lot of cooking….

We will definitely be back next summer
