Noddfa is a detached mansion and has a history dating back 250 years, when it was protected by the castle garrison. However, the distinctive frontage of the house was added in 1850 by Samuel Holland MP and retains much of the Victorian character and splendour, with high ornate ceilings and a bell tower.
The fully refurbished accommodation captures the charm of this Victorian retreat, comprising a generous entrance hall, dining-room with table for 16, drawing room with wood-burning stove, cinema room, library, snug with real fire as well as a large farmhouse kitchen and cloakroom. On the first floor there are five double bedrooms and three twin-bedded rooms, all of which are en-suite.
Charming gardens surround the property with planting of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias which typify this part of North Wales. There is ample parking for eight vehicles.
Harlech is an attractive town with a theatre, a magnificent sandy beach with safe bathing and good restaurants and shops. Port Merion (the location of the celebrate Prisoner TV series), Ffestiniog railway and Snowdon are all within a short drive. The bolder (and fitter) have the best of Snowdonia on the doorstep but all our guests will be awed by the breathtaking views of the mountains which can be viewed from Noddfa.
Meanwhile, the charming village of Harlech maintains a delightful old fashioned charm which engenders fun, relaxation and helps visitors recapture the joy of seaside holidays and country romps whilst luxuriating in the elegant and historic property.

Everyone having their own bathroom was a treat, and the restaurant next door did a fantastic breakfast which saved a lot of cooking….
We will defiantly be back next summer
Beautiful House and surroundings. The golf course opposite a bonus, four of us enjoyed a round.
Beach spectacular in the early evening, the scenery and walks are marvelous.
We will definitely be back to enjoy all the comforts again.
