The Towers

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

The Towers is a substantial Harbour Master’s mansion (for a harbour that was never actually completed) and built by John Platt in 1872. Designed in a Gothic chateau style and occupying over 5000 square feet, it has recently been refurbished to an excellent standard by the Amazing Places to Stay team.

Located yards from the beach, this detached property boasts flexible accommodation for up to 25 guests. Many of the rooms, including the Lantern Tower, benefit from stunning views across to the Isle of Anglesey and Puffin Island.

The large lawned garden has an attractive ornamental pond with a Japanese three-tier fountain surrounded by a 9-hole putting croquet green. Please note that the pond, though shallow, is unfenced. There is ample off road parking for up to 10 cars.

ABOUT THE AREA

Llanfairfechan is a charming village, celebrated for its beautiful arts and crafts houses and enjoying the many benefits of its seaside location. The village is well served by shops and short term guests will find that they can meet all their grocery needs within walking distance although larger parties and longer term guests may want to travel to nearby Bangor or Llandudno for a range of supermarkets.

The historic walled town of Conwy is 7 miles away and is home to an impressive castle.

The famous seaside towns of Colwyn Bay and Llandudno are both less than 15 minutes drive.

The Isle of Anglesey can be reached by car in half and hour.

For walkers, there are plenty of pathways to explore – including The Cambrian Way, which begins in Conwy.

We have had a superb few days, thank you. Every detail has been thought of (2 dishwashers & 2 kettles was a bonus!) and the kitchen is excellent for catering for a large group.
